Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about me. I am originally from California and moved to Lawrence in 2021. Lawrence is fantastic, it is such a vibrant town and has much to offer.
I am a marriage and family therapist, and although my training was focused on counseling couples and families, I have extensive experience counseling individuals as well. My approach as a therapist is to help my clients understand their own strengths and how to use them to their advantage to address the challenges life brings. I am proficient in helping clients achieve symptom reduction for anxiety, stress, and depression. I also treat PTSD and trauma.
I work primarily with adults ages 18 years and older.
I earned my Master's of Science Degree in Counseling Psychology from California Lutheran University in 2018. After graduating, I earned my 3,000 + required hours as an associate Marriage and Family Therapist in California and got my license there in February 2021. Shortly after that, my husband got a job in Lawrence, Kansas, so we moved our family to start anew. I then applied for my license in Kansas and was granted licensure in August 2021.
Prior to getting my master's, I spent time living all over California and even spent some time living in Scotland where I met my husband. Now, I live in beautiful Kansas with my husband and son. My husband and I have been together since 2007.
I have been through many transitions and changes in my life and I love helping others navigate their own transitions, as I know how often things can feel overwhelming when we try to do them alone.
